Prior to joining Houlihan Lawrence, Lauren spent ten years as a strategic marketing and communications executive at leading PR agencies, Edelman and Ketchum in New York, before returning to Connecticut to raise her family.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology & Anthropology and Political Science from Colgate University where she served as Co-President (Class of 2005) and graduated with honors.
